STOP PRESS!! Well the mergers and acquisitions certainly continue apace! In this edition we bring you the announcement that Thomson has bought a 33 1/3% stake in Canopus and has launched a public tender offer for the remaining Canopus shares. Also on the business front, Adobe has completed its acquisition of Macromedia, and Boris FX has bought the operating assets and customer support obligations of Media 100 from Optibase. It may have been the year of HDTV, but 2005 will also be remembered for some significant changes in the landscape of the industry.

We are currently putting the finishing touches to the new edition of the Pro Camera Guide, which will be ready in January 2006.
