STOP PRESS!! We had the privilege of attending an event this month that
helped shake off our trade show weariness. The BBC
Research & Development Open Days at Kingswood Warren are a treasure
trove for anyone interested in the engineering side of broadcasting. With
some forty different presentations there was plenty to see, but our highlight
was Dirac,
an open source video codec based on wavelet technology.
As we've started to receive announcements about the IBC Convention, it
must be time for us to begin renewing the HD Kit Guide. With over 500
products included already, this is the most comprehensive guide to HD
production and post production equipment. Manufacturers are entitled to
a free listing by completing the online
form. For information about sponsorship and advertising opportunities
please email sypha@syphaonline.com
or call +44 (0)20 8761 1042.
Finally, we would like to thank Apple for its continued support as a
Gold sponsor of the HD Kit Guide, the NLE Buyers Guide and the DAW Buyers
Guide.
