Sony BVP-E30 Series Standard Definition Studio Camera Ups the Quality Stakes (23/9/2004)

Replacing the popular BVP-E10 series at the same price, the new BVP-E30 series Standard Definition camera sets new standards of performance, operational flexibility and user ergonomics for quality-conscious OB and studio customers.

Teamed with the latest generation Power HAD EX CCDs, the camera's powerful 14-bit Analogue to Digital convertor and DSP capabilities afford significant performance benefits in a wide range of live production applications. The sensors' improved signal conversion accuracy makes the BVP-E30 especially suitable for critical studio or OB tasks such as night-time sports coverage where high amounts of gain can seriously degrade picture performance.

A redesigned adjustable shoulder pad improves operator comfort, and the BVP-E30 is compatible with existing CCU's and other accessories as well as the WLL-CA55 Wireless Camera Transmitter system.

First European deliveries of the BVP-E30P were to BBC Television Centre in July, and other significant orders for this class-leading camera have already been confirmed by Sogecable Spain, Czech TV and HRT Croatia.
