EDIROL Announces the R-09 for Mobile Recording (28/7/2006)

The experts at EDIROL are masters of the mobile recorder having sold a staggering number of models such as the R-1 and R-4. The R-09 takes all that expertise and puts it in the sleekest, most portable and affordable package yet.

The new R-09 features 24-bit uncompressed recording (at either 44.1 or 48kHz) for crystal-clear capture plus the ability to record and play back in MP3 format (up to 320kbps). Files can be monitored via the headphone socket or exported to computer via the USB port. As with the R-1 and R-4, there's a high-quality, built-in stereo mic complete with a dedicated input control, mono/stereo selector, low-cut filter and gain boost. Just point and record!

Ease of use is also a key feature of the R-09. There's a superb and very functional screen which utilises OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology to clearly display all the information you need including audio signal levels. Other features include one-touch recording, an auto gain control, a low frequency cut switch, A-B repeat for comparative recording and you can even add reverb to your recordings.

The unit records to a removable SD card (a 64MB one is included). This, combined with an extra mic input, a long battery life and a great list of optional accessories, means the R-09 is perfect for a multitude of recording situations, from recording bands to conversations.

€ The CB-R09S carry case is a safe and convenient solution to transport your R-09 and its accessories. It retails for £39 inc VAT. and €49,- inc VAT. € The OP-R09C is a cover/stand set for the R-09 designed to keep your recorder safe with a protective cover. It also provides a small tripod base to help keep the recorder stable in recording situations. This tripod has adjustable legs and is also retractable so you can use it as a handgrip. The OP-R09C retails for £49 inc VAT and €69,- inc VAT € The OP-R09M enables you to use the R-09 as a microphone. You fix your R-09 to this adapter (even with the OP-R09C cover fitted) which enables you to connect it to full sized mic stands thus giving you greater recording freedom. The OP-R09M retails for £19 inc VAT and €29,- inc VAT. € The CS-15 is an external cardioid-type stereo microphone for your R-09 for even more advanced recording.
