News Tcube Colour Correctors gain new features (22/1/2008) Tcube, the manufacturer of the TOMATO, FIG and KIWI image processing tools has announced new software features for sophisticated colour correction with the release of Version 1.3 Software. The latest release 1.3 of the software for colour correction of SD and HD signals allows for on-screen display of illegal colours providing a very intuitive and simple method for checking, locating and correcting illegal colours. The 1.3 software runs on either the FIG(SD/HD) or KIWI(SD only) units. The integrated filter included means that illegal colours can also be independently checked on each R, G or B signal. LUT(Look Up Table) users can now either use a standard Gamma correction or a Bezier type function or download into the hardware 1D LUT tables. Also, with this latest software release, support has been added to the TOMATO remote control Software to integrate1D and 3D LUT viewers. Compatibility with other LUT formats such as Luther, Kodak, Lustre, etc. is also provided. In addition, TOMATO can now allow any colour correction made with the LUT559, combined Linear RGB and 3D LUT colour corrector, to be uploaded into a 3D LUT file and be saved, for example, as a Luther file. The FIG and KIWI hardware can also provide legalisation, proc amp controls, synchronisation and delay functions by loading different software packages. Tcube is represented in the UK by Gee Broadcast Systems Ltd who can provide more information or arrange demonstrations. www.tcube.tv
