SGO adds support for ARRI, Silicon Images and Phantom RAW file formats to its Mistika Post and DI finishing system (17/9/2010)
In a development that parallels the expanding importance of Digital Cinematography within the creative media industry SGO today announces its Mistika Post and DI finishing system gains yet another exciting development launching at IBC 2010 with added support for ARRI, Silicon Images and Phantom RAW file formats.
Mistika can immediately support ARRIRAW files created with the ARRI’s already well established D-21 camera, and can also support files created with the exciting new ARRI ALEXA Camera as it becomes available to the market with RAW capability enabled. Mistika can already work with the ALEXA’s ProRes image format output, and with added RAW support, continues to make Mistika the working environment of choice for the on-line post-production of quality images.
The live and real-time manipulation of RAW image data, benefit from Mistika's new, high performance and high quality debayering algorithms, which increase transcoding speed, while guaranteeing the highest possible quality directly from the camera's "RAW" files. Coupled with Mistika's powerful colour grading, compositing and editing environment, the direct native support for multiple RAW file formats provides an unbeatable combination, in terms of creative freedom, ultimate quality, and efficient workflow.
